Summary: As a Technology Support Engineer, your typical day involves resolving incidents and problems that arise across various business system components, ensuring that operational stability is maintained. You will create and implement Requests for Change, while also updating knowledge base articles to facilitate effective troubleshooting. Collaboration with vendors and service management teams is essential, as you will assist in issue analysis and resolution, contributing to a seamless operational environment. Roles & Responsibilities: - Define and implement the enterprise-wide automation strategy for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and cloud operations. - Architect solutions using Terraform and Ansible for standardized IaC and configuration automation. - Establish governance frameworks for IaC state management, drift detection, and compliance enforcement. - Align automation initiatives with cloud adoption frameworks and enterprise architecture principles. - Design and oversee automated provisioning of Azure IaaS and PaaS services. - Implement reusable Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks to accelerate environment creation. - Provide guidance on building automation scripts with PowerShell, Shell, and Python for complex workflows. - Integrate automation with cloud-native services (Azure Policy, Azure DevOps, Key Vault, ARM templates). - Define patterns for embedding automation into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps). - Advocate GitOps practices for infrastructure and configuration management. - Drive adoption of automated testing, linting, and validation for infrastructure code. - Ensure all automation solutions comply with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements. - Automate enforcement of cloud governance policies (naming conventions, tagging, RBAC). - Implement cost optimization guardrails (automated right-sizing, lifecycle policies). - Partner with security and compliance teams to integrate policy-as-code frameworks. - Provide architectural guidance and mentoring to DevOps and Automation Engineers. - Collaborate with Cloud Architects, Security Architects, and Operations to deliver holistic automation solutions. - Lead proof-of-concepts, tool evaluations, and technology roadmaps for automation platforms. - Present architectural solutions and progress updates to executive stakeholders. Professional & Technical Skills: - 10+ years in infrastructure, cloud, or DevOps engineering, with 3–5 years in an architect-level role. - Terraform (enterprise-level modules, workspaces, state backends, Sentinel/OPA). - Ansible (enterprise automation, complex playbooks, dynamic inventory). - Scripting – PowerShell (Windows automation), Shell (Linux automation), and Python (custom tools/frameworks). - Azure Cloud – IaaS (VMs, Networking, Storage) and PaaS (App Services, AKS, Databases). - Hands-on experience designing large-scale automation frameworks across multi-subscription Azure environments. - Strong knowledge of CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions). - Proven experience with cloud governance, cost optimization, and security automation. - Solid understanding of networking, identity (Azure AD), and monitoring solutions.
