THE WORK:
- You'll oversee the review and approval of technical documents.
- You'll lend your expertise to manage and resolve project comments.
- You'll facilitate meetings and serve as the technical liaison between Developers/Design-Builders and TDIP Subject Matter Expert teams.
- You'll collaborate with the Project Manager to define, review, and approve design requirements, responsibilities, and program consistency.
- You'll provide guidance when design requirements in project documents are unclear or insufficiently defined.
- You'll conduct technical reviews of scope-of-work changes for each project.
- You'll establish and standardize submittal approval procedures to ensure a uniform review approach.
- You'll audit project team comments and designer responses for quality and completeness.
- You'll monitor compliance with architectural and engineering guidelines for the Terminal 7 & 8 Refresh project, ensuring design consistency and quality.
- You'll oversee permitting documentation and track the permitting process required by the design team.
- You'll support the Project Manager in keeping design reviews on schedule and within budget.
- You'll develop and maintain the Terminal 7 & 8 Project scope tracker to ensure all scope elements are identified and assigned.
- You'll monitor BIM production and coordinate BIM strategy and implementation in alignment with LAWA standards and project requirements.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, and/or related field required
- 15 years or more experience in managing the design of large, complex building projects, utilities and infrastructure improvements, preferably on airport projects
- Design management of complex aviation improvements experience required
- Experience managing a team of design professionals
- Experience with projects more than $100 million in value.
- Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR and Design/Build
- Proven ability to perform in a management capacity
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
- Must have a self-starter attitude with proactive, results-oriented focus; and willing and capable to assume additional responsibilities
- Must be able to interface with a variety of people with different technical levels and educational backgrounds
- Must be detail oriented and highly organized
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Professionally licensed Architect and/or Engineer strongly preferred
- Ability to work in CAD or REVIT a plus
