You will identify and communicate cross-functional issues, technical risks, and schedule impacts to all stakeholders, including senior leadership. This includes coordinating resolution of software defects and repair system challenges while managing end-to-end validation activities and ensuring production readiness before launches, aligning technical execution with business objectives.
- Partner with hardware, software, and architecture teams during early product development to define repair requirements and influence design to simplify field repair
- Drive consensus across engineering disciplines on technical specifications, deliverables, and interdependencies while facilitating trade-offs and securing stakeholder commitments.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to develop and deploy software tools, diagnostic infrastructure, repair workflows and system changes enabling scalable field repairs.
- Develop comprehensive program plans with tasks, resource allocation, timelines, and milestones while maintaining accountability for schedule adherence.
- Coordinate troubleshooting efforts and resolve technical and program issues as they emerge.
- Provide regular transparent status updates to management and support executive reviews as needed, to communicate progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Manage validation activities including functional, integration, and systems testing to ensure quality standards before releases.
- Maintain overall responsibility for timely, complete delivery of all engineering and technical components supporting AppleCare repair programs.
- 7+ years leading cross-functional hardware and software programs.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading large, multi-functional teams to deliver complex initiatives across a global organization.
- Proven track record of managing programs end-to-end, from initial design through launch, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Exceptional ability presenting complex technical issues to engineering teams and executives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or related field
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting to executive leadership and influencing key stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to empower teams, foster collaboration, and maintain momentum in fast-paced, often ambiguous environments.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles supporting iOS and macOS platforms with the ability to deep dive into technical issues across software and hardware teams.
- Experience with facilitating complex infrastructure designs, defining technical requirements, and coordinating delivery of changes across multiple integrated services.
- Prior experience with OEM partners and factory test stations.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and risk management skills.
- Expertise in using program management tools.
- Prior experience in driving NPI projects with design-for-repair and repair strategies is highly desired.
