The Protect Finance team is a fast-paced, detail-oriented group that plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and operational efficiency across the organization. The team partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to manage budgets, track expenditures, and oversee the full invoicing lifecycle-from data collection and validation to timely processing and reporting. This role will partner closely with the current Finance Associate to ensure full coverage of financial responsibilities and continuity of operations. The Protect Finance team collaborates with business partners, guarding vendors, corporate finance, and internal stakeholders to deliver financial oversight aligned with Apple standards, policies, and best practices. The team serves as a key partner to leadership.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Maintain and update budget tracking tools, spreadsheets, and financial systems
  • Review and reconcile expenses, invoices, and financial transactions for accuracy
  • Validate contract rates across invoices
  • Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards for leadership, and annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Track multiple budget categories including operations, outsourced services, travel, and technology
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and funding guidelines
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on budget usage and forecasting
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for financial activities
  • Generate purchase requisitions and manage open purchase orders, and monitor commitments and remaining balances to prevent overspending
  • Support quarterly accruals and maintain accurate financial records
  • Use historical data to build baseline budgets and projections, and consolidate financial inputs from internal partners to support planning
  • Review vendor data to ensure alignment with contracts and budgets
  • Develop forward looking cost projections based on operational needs
  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting and invoicing processes and financial operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot tables, Power Queries) as well as working knowledge of Apple operating/software systems
  • Financial analysis and modeling, data tracking, validation, and reporting using financial systems/tools
  • Attention to detail ensuring accuracy in spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving to analyze data and drive effective solutions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication with stakeholders and vendors
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic cross-functional team
