APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Own strategic material planning, readiness, sourcing, and end-to-end procurement to support NPI programs from concept through production launch and sustaining transition. Develop supply chain and material flow models using advanced Excel, VBA, SQL, Tableau, and other analytics tools to forecast availability, perform what-if scenario analysis, and drive data-driven decisions. Lead allocation and risk mitigation strategies for constrained materials across factories, programs, and business lines, guiding Global Supply Managers, suppliers, and Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to optimize production and minimize risk. Identify and mitigate Excess & Obsolete (E&O) and other material risks by leveraging predictive analytics, PLM tools (Agile), and inventory management systems to phase out obsolete parts, manage BOMs, and introduce new materials. Manage Clear-to-Build (CTB) readiness, global logistics, inventory control, and production scheduling through ERP/MRP and build management systems to ensure timely execution and material availability. Prepare and present executive-level reports and dashboards on material readiness, risk, and cost impacts during weekly program reviews. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven process optimization to enhance supply chain efficiency and cost performance. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,024 - $281,900/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.   • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Performing inventory management and Clear-to-Build (CTB) risk assessments, predicting and mitigating supply and demand constraints, leading decision-making using MRP/ERP planning systems and build management tools.
  • Conducting data modeling, statistical simulations, and what-if scenario analysis using advanced Excel (pivot tables, VBA, macros), Tableau, and internal tools to forecast constraints, optimize allocation strategies, and enable data-driven decision making.
  • Leading new product launches from concept through production handoff, tracking deliverables and status using project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Preparing and presenting concise executive-level reports in PowerPoint or Keynote on material risks, cost impacts, and mitigation plans; maintaining weekly reporting cadence on CTB status and shortages.
  • Managing supplier relationships by forecasting demand, expediting constrained materials, and coordinating build readiness through ERP/MRP systems; driving supplier reviews and influencing process improvements.
  • Utilizing Agile PLM software for Bill of Materials (BOM) analysis, Excess & Obsolete (E&O) management, and lifecycle transitions of components and new materials.
  • Managing budgets and financial tracking from concept to production using internal procurement tools; performing E&O liability and cost optimization analysis to mitigate financial exposure.
  • Driving Lean, Six Sigma, and Kanban initiatives to standardize, streamline, and improve supply chain processes, to achieve time and cost savings.
  • Executing demand planning, material scheduling, and lead-time management using ERP/MRP systems; managing global logistics, inventory control, and daily configuration inputs to meet build requirements.
