APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Coordinate cross-functional SRE projects which comprise of working with various stakeholders such as Software Engineering managers, SRE Managers, Software Engineers, Hardware, Network and Capacity Planning teams. Create and maintain detailed and extensive project plans for complex and technical projects across multiple teams of engineers. Coordinate Technical Infrastructure Operations of the SRE Technical teams by developing and running Operational frameworks such as Agile & Kanban. Interact with software engineers to define and document technical requirements as a part of the architecture for deployment of Infrastructure. Document detailed end to end project plans to deploy infrastructure in Apple's Data center environment starting from requirements gathering to application deployment and handover to the Software Engineering teams. Document and lead extensive Application Migration projects which involves migration of Apple's Hadoop workloads from one Data center to another. Document and lead Disaster Recovery plans to failover Software Applications from the Primary Data Center environment to the DR Data Center environment. Use Project management to migrated Infrastructure and Data Center services using visualization, Cloud, System infrastructure, Server client relationship. Utilize Linux, Unix, Windows based operating systems and Network administration with knowledge of Network layers and protocols and routing systems. Migrate from datacenter to Private or Public cloud and cloud-based services like PaaS, SaaS, IaaS. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $179,421 - $258,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.   • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Software delivery and services infrastructure engineering.
  • Utilizing software development processes (SDLC), and project management methodologies.
  • Performing risk analysis as well as developing, prioritizing and leading the software development engineering roadmap.
  • Utilizing experience in engineering, infrastructure, or software development program management experience for Site Reliability Engineering / DevOps.
  • Coordination and participation in requirements gathering and design brainstorming sessions.
  • Utilizing experience in defining processes, developing metrics and execution while driving program maturity and process optimization.
