Location: Washington, DC Metro (Hybrid). Hybrid role with 2–3 days onsite at client locations. Candidates within 25 miles of a DXC office are expected to be on-site two days per week.

Overview:

The Senior PeopleSoft Application Developer is responsible for designing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise PeopleSoft applications in a secure, federal managed-services environment. This role is PeopleSoft-first and focuses on PeopleTools development, Fluid UI, integrations, and platform modernization, with supporting use of Java and related technologies to extend and integrate PeopleSoft capabilities.

This is not a generic Java full-stack role. Candidates should bring deep hands-on PeopleSoft technical experience and the ability to modernize and integrate PeopleSoft in cloud-aligned architectures.

Candidates must hold a DOD Secret Clearance and be a U.S. Citizen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance PeopleSoft applications using PeopleTools, Application Designer, Application Engine, and Fluid UI

  • Build and support PeopleSoft integrations using Integration Broker, REST/SOAP services, and third-party interfaces

  • Perform PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) image updates and PeopleTools upgrades

  • Support Oracle Database upgrades and performance tuning, including versions 23ai and 26ai

  • Contribute to PeopleSoft modernization and cloud migration efforts (OCI or Azure)

  • Develop supporting components using Java, SQL, and scripting where required for integration and extensibility

  • Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices for PeopleSoft environments

  • Manage and maintain PeopleSoft security, roles, and permissions in compliance with federal standards

Required Skills & Experience

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • 8+ years of hands-on PeopleSoft technical development experience

  • Strong expertise in PeopleTools, Application Designer, Integration Broker, and Fluid UI

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) and platform upgrades

  • Working knowledge of Java, SQL, and integration technologies supporting PeopleSoft

  • Experience with Oracle Database, including 23ai and 26ai

  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing frameworks

  • Experience supporting federal or regulated enterprise environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • PeopleSoft and/or Oracle certifications

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or Azure-hosted PeopleSoft

  • Exposure to AI-enabled enhancements or chatbot integrations within PeopleSoft

  • Background in long-term managed services or production support environments
