Profile: A credible professional with a consulting or professional services background. Someone who thrives in front of clients and is comfortable in technology and business conversations. Pragmatic, persuasive, and outcome-focused — a translator between innovation and execution.
Purpose of the Role: Working in tandem with Clients, Product Owners, Sales, and Delivery Leads, you will collaborate to pitch DXC’s leading offerings and secure new engagements with clients. Offerings include technology Modernization (across all industries), core banking & payments. Work with the wider Technical Sales team to achieve ambitious growth objectives in a culture that prioritizes personal values (collaboratively do the right thing) and performance (do it well).
- Partner with product, account, and delivery leadership to qualify, shape, and win modernization & other opportunities across enterprise clients.
- Facilitate technical discovery sessions to understand legacy environments and define modernization pathways.
- Work with technical SMEs to craft and present solution blueprints, technical proposals, and value narratives tailored to client outcomes.
- Engage directly with senior client stakeholders to establish credibility and influence decision-making.
- Translate agree approach into costed solutions, ensuring technical feasibility and margin protection.
- Support RFP/RFI responses, bid reviews, and pursuit governance in alignment with corporate sales processes.
- Work with the Product Team to track market and technology trends to inform solution development and competitive positioning.
Required Skills & Experience
- Credible and evidenced expertise in modernization or enterprise transformation programmes.
- Proven record in technical pre-sales or solution consulting within a consultancy or systems integrator environment.
- Commercial acumen — able to balance technical integrity with competitive pricing and win strategies.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills; confident in presenting to executive-level audiences.
- Experience with structured bid management and sales frameworks (e.g., Miller Heiman, MEDDIC, Challenger).
- Understanding of delivery risk and estimation within modernization programmes.
Performance Metrics
- Revenue influenced/closed through modernization pursuits.
- Win rate for bids supported.
- Accuracy of solution cost models vs delivery outcomes.
- Client satisfaction and repeat engagements.
- Contribution to modernization, thought leadership, and internal enablement.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
