USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environment.
Zero Trust Reference Architect (ZTRA) Role Description:
- Has strong understanding of low-level implementation of Zero Trust Reference Architecture (ZTRA) to help maintain compliance with the DoD Zero Trust Strategy.
- Supports the design of solutions by leveraging both Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud computation.
- Helps design and develop methods for tracking and reviewing data access requests.
- Evaluates existing network and security infrastructure, identifies vulnerabilities, and recommends enhancements to align with ZTRA principles.
- Assists with research and proof of concept efforts. Determines where additional technologies may be necessary to align to ZTRA principles.
- Assigned as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer on the Zero Trust Program team.
- Responsibilities include being recognized as a subject matter expert in developing Zero Trust solutions for customers in the public sector market providing expert knowledge for the research, evaluation, and development of advanced cybersecurity solutions incorporating data analytics/visualization, automation, threat intelligence, SIEM/SOAR, and User & Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) technologies into an integrated solution aligned to customer mission needs while providing expert guidance and leadership to less-experienced personnel.
- Familiar with integration with SD-WAN, on-premises network components, IoT, external SaaS providers, IDP/ICAM, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, DLP, and Data Lakes.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- B.S. in Computer and Information Systems or in a relevant Engineering discipline
- 10 years of cybersecurity and cyber engineering experience.
- Security Clearance Level: Top Secret with SCI eligibility
- Required Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation; Security+; CISSP; Palo Alto Networks Certified Security Administrator; CCNP; Cisco Certified Specialist
- Location: Offutt AFB, NE

The likely salary range for this position is $182,750 - $247,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
