Business Development Manager
General Informatics
The Business Development Manager leads sales initiatives and drives revenue growth through direct selling. This role is an individual contributor and requires a proven track record of consistent sales achievement, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to develop and execute complex sales strategies in the IT managed services market.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Drive strategic sales initiatives and territory expansion
- Mentor and develop Business Development Managers
- Create and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives
- Identify and pursue key market opportunities
- Maintain executive-level relationships with strategic clients
Direct Sales:
- Manage and close complex, high-value opportunities
- Build and maintain strategic client relationships
- Lead solution development for enterprise opportunities
- Achieve personal sales quota while supporting team goals
- Navigate and influence C-level decision-making processes
Team Development:
- Provide coaching and guidance to Business Development team
- Share best practices and winning strategies
- Lead by example in sales execution
- Support team members in strategic opportunities
- Foster a culture of high performance and accountability
Business Operations:
- Develop and maintain sales forecasts and pipeline analytics
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams
- Contribute to product and service strategy development
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Ensure team compliance with sales methodology
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of direct selling
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets
- History of managing large, complex sales cycles
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong executive presence and presentation skills

Travel
This position will work in office with some travel to make sales calls, meet customers and prospects. No overnight travel is required.
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials.
