We are seeking an enthusiastic Application Engineer – GenAI to join our growing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your expertise in AI-native application development while supporting iMerit's Hi-Tech and GenAI Sales & Marketing initiatives. You will work on building Proofs of Concept (PoCs), developing AI-powered applications, and supporting customer-facing solutions that showcase the value of iMerit's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Sales & Marketing team to develop custom application solutions for prospective and existing clients.
• Design and deliver rapid Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to support pre-sales demonstrations and customer engagements.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance AI-native applications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure application workflows, data pipelines, integrations, and operational processes function reliably and efficiently.
• Provide technical support for applications used by internal annotation teams and external customers.Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues while ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs.
• Gain a deep understanding of supported applications and contribute to their ongoing improvement.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers regarding technical issues, resolutions, and best practices.
• Document support cases, technical solutions, application configurations, and operational processes.
• Stay updated on emerging AI technologies, software releases, and platform enhancements.
• Assist in onboarding and mentoring team members by sharing technical expertise and best practices.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment to achieve project goals and milestones.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2–5 years of experience in Python-based application development.
• Hands-on experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI systems.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality deliverables.

Core Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with databases and front-end technologies.
• Understanding of AI-native application development principles.
• Familiarity with cloud storage platforms such as AWS S3 and Google Cloud Storage.
• Experience working with structured data formats including JSON, CSV, and similar formats.
• Knowledge of data pipelines, data processing workflows, and large-scale data handling.
• Understanding of modern GenAI application architectures and integrations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing end-to-end Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Experience with vector databases and graph databases.
• Exposure to modern AI frameworks and orchestration tools.
• Experience working in customer-facing or pre-sales technical environments.
