Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Coverage: Global remit with team members in NAMR and EMEA
Reports to: Global Head of Director Advisory Services

About Director Advisory Services (DAS)

Director Advisory Services partners with corporate boards and senior executives to deliver insights, perspectives, and engagements that inform oversight, strategy, and long term value creation. The team convenes high impact forums, produces differentiated content, and leverages firmwide intelligence to serve boardlevel priorities across regions.

Role Summary

We are seeking a senior executive to lead DAS’s Content and Intelligence agenda. This Managing Director will build and run a centralized, global team responsible for the content strategy we create and curate from across JPMorgan, the end to end distribution ecosystem (e.g., newsletters, JPM Intelligence, DAS Signature briefings, board meetings), agenda setting for all DAS events, and our internal “Intelligence” stack—spanning technology, information services, data/analytics, reporting, and KPI management. The leader will work in close partnership with Advisory colleagues and senior stakeholders across the firm to deliver a unified strategy that elevates DAS’s impact with boards and executive leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Editorial Leadership

  • Build a multiyear DAS content strategy and annual editorial calendar that blends original DAS content with curated, high value insights from across JPMorgan.

  • Define and operate a channel distribution plan across newsletters, JPM Intelligence, DAS Signature briefings, client board meetings, and other priority touchpoints; optimize cadence, format, and targeting by audience and region.

  • Establish editorial standards, governance, and review processes; ensure alignment with brand, legal, compliance, and reputational risk guidelines.

  • Drive thought leadership themes relevant to boards (e.g., strategy, governance, risk, technology transformation, geopolitics), ensuring timely, high quality outputs.

Events & Board Engagement Agendas

  • Own the content architecture and agendas for all DAS related events and convenings; ensure every program is tightly woven into the overarching content strategy and thematic roadmap.

  • Partner with senior leaders and speakers to shape narratives, pre-brief materials, and follow-up artifacts that reinforce key insights and actions.

  • Implement audience feedback loops and post event analytics to continuously improve impact.

Intelligence: Data, Technology & KPI Management

  • Define the Intelligence vision and roadmap for how DAS uses internal technology, information services, and data to inform content, segmentation, targeting, and decision making.

  • Stand up a measurement framework and KPI suite that tracks engagement, reach, quality, and business impact across content, events and Director engagement; deliver executive ready dashboards and readouts.

  • Partner with internal technology, data, and information services teams to evaluate, deploy, and evolve tools supporting content operations, knowledge management, audience analytics, and reporting.

Cross Firm Collaboration & Advisory Partnership

  • Work closely with Advisory colleagues to embed DAS content and intelligence into client engagements; cocreate materials that advance client outcomes and reinforce Advisory priorities.

  • Build strong relationships with thought leaders, research partners, and crossline of business stakeholders to ensure timely access to firmwide insights and consistent messaging.

Team Leadership & Operating Model

  • Build, lead, and develop a high performing, centralized team across content, intelligence, and events—spanning NAMR and EMEA.

  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required

  • 20+ years of progressive experience in content strategy, executive communications, research/intelligence, analytics, or closely related fields—ideally in financial services, advisory, or board/governance contexts.

  • Demonstrated success building global, multichannel editorial programs and tying them to measurable outcomes.

  • Deep experience operationalizing data & analytics for content decisioning, audience segmentation, and performance reporting; fluency with BI/dashboarding and analytics concepts.

  • Executive presence and exceptional communication skills; comfort engaging with C-suite and board level stakeholders.

  • Proven track record leading and developing high performing global teams; strong program and change management capabilities.

  • Ability to navigate complex organizations, influence without authority, and align diverse stakeholders to a unified strategy.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in board advisory, corporate governance, strategy, or thought leadership within a large financial institution or top tier advisory firm.

  • Familiarity with knowledge management systems, marketing automation, and content operations platforms.

Core Competencies

  • Strategic and systems thinking; ability to connect content, channels, and data into a coherent operating model.

  • Editorial excellence and storytelling; sharp judgment on what matters to boards and senior executives.

  • Data fluency; comfort defining KPIs, reading signal in metrics, and driving continuous optimization.

  • Stakeholder management and cross functional collaboration at senior levels.

  • Team leadership, coaching, and talent development across regions and disciplines.

  • Risk and controls mindset; disciplined approach to governance and approvals.

Success Measures (Examples)

  • Engagement and reach across key channels (e.g., open rates, readership depth, time spent, audience growth) and quality signals (e.g., qualitative feedback from board members and executives).

  • Event impact metrics (e.g., attendance/retention, NPS or equivalent, post event actions).
