Job Summary/Basic Functions

Under the supervision of the Manager of ELC/Director Designees and direction of the teacher, the expectations of the student worker are to:

• Actively engage with children in activities planned by the teacher to promote learning and child development,
• Assist teachers with all classroom routines such as snack and naptime while supporting child independence, and
• Maintain a positive attitude and patience when redirecting children.

Student workers are expected to report to work promptly and notify the Director or Designee as soon as possible if there is a schedule conflict.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be in good standing, enrolled at least part time in an accredited high school, junior college, college or university, or a vocational-technical school.
