Overview

An IC3 Software Engineer II is a seasoned individual contributor who plays a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure software systems. IC3 engineers often serve as technical leads for feature areas or components and are recognized for their ability to drive execution while mentoring others.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience with large-scale cloud or distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in any of the languages such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript etc.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, agile methodologies, and modern development practices.
  • Passionate about AI, innovation, and emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
    • OR related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Implementation: Contribute to the architecture and design of product features. Test design hypotheses and refine code plans with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Coding and Debugging: Write clean, maintainable, and extensible code. Conduct retrospective debugging to identify root causes of issues and implement fixes.
  • Collaboration: Work with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions. Participate in code reviews and team discussions.
  • Telemetry and Observability: Integrate instrumentation to gather telemetry data on system behavior, including performance, reliability, and usage.
  • Customer Focus: Understand customer pain points and translate them into technical solutions. Advocate for user experience in design and implementation decisions.
