Position Summary:

The Manager, Content Strategy will play a key role in shaping and executing the NBA’s strategic content initiatives. The role will help advance priority content-focused workstreams that unlock new revenue opportunities, reach new NBA audiences, and shape the NBA’s future content creation and distribution strategy. The role will involve close collaboration with and presentation to senior leaders both within the Content group and across the broader organization to drive the NBA’s long-term content strategy.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Set priorities and execution plans for priority content workstreams with supervisors and cross-functional business leads
  • Manage workstreams on key projects to deliver timely, high-quality outputs across teams
  • Guide project teams, delegate tasks, balance development needs, and serve as the main point of contact
  • Work across data and reporting teams to evaluate content performance and help set strategic direction
  • Drive strategy and project management focused on priority NBA tentpole events
  • Identify risks and issues; propose solutions and manage risks to protect project outcomes
  • Produce high-impact deliverables and presentations that meet executive standards
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the NBA, WNBA, and G League to define and drive strategic priorities

Required Education/Professional Experience:

  • BA/BS degree or relevant professional experience preferred
  • 2+ years of professional experience, preferably at a top-tier strategy consulting firm, investment bank or corporate strategy in media/entertainment

Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes:

  • Strong passion for NBA content and knowledge of the NBA content landscape
  • Knowledge of Sports, Entertainment, Media and Technology industries preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly and concisely
  • Outstanding quantitative, research, modeling, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Ability to communicate with senior executives both inside and outside the organization
  • Ability to recognize patterns and spot issues
  • Proactive, self-starter who can work independently within set objectives
  • Experience working and multi-tasking in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Employees currently are eligible to receive an annual discretionary performance bonus, awarded at the sole discretion of the Company and subject to any terms and conditions set by the Company.
